Jennifer and Shawn had family and friends traveling from all across America, so as a small introduction to Oregon they decided on a “State Fair” theme for their reception! Each table was decorated for individual counties, and included a diorama to illustrate the activities and commerce available there! Since the wedding was in Brownsville, one of my very favorite towns, we started out a little early to ensure we had some time to explore and photograph downtown among the vintage buildings and the train museum.

Amy and Kurt are friends of annother couple, Heather and Todd, who’s wedding I shot a few years ago. It is so great having such loyal customers who reffer their friends…especially when their friends are such nice people. The wedding and the reception were both at the Pelican Pub in Pacific City (just north of Lincoln City), with an incredible view of the Pacific and Haystack Rock right out the panoramic windows. Now, the wind was blowing a little hard that day, so we had to wait for a few calmer moments to get to the beach for some great photos of Amy and Kurt toghether…kissing and freezing!

We have been working on an ongoing project with Treeman Design for Jones & Roth for about a year. The idea is to show that the CPAs and partners of the firm are more than just capable number crunchers, they are real people too, with cool hobbies and active family lives. It has been a great project to work on so far and next week we are doing a rock climber, a vollyball player, and a hockey player!

The ceremony was at St Peter’s which is Amanda’s home church, with the reception at the Downtown Athletic Club. When we were planning out the day Amanda KNEW that she wanted some great photos of her and Tim out in the streets around the DAC, but none of us had the nerve to hope for such a beautiful evening! As soon as we got a chance we ducked out of the reception and down onto the street full of well-wishers, hobos and college kids. About 15 minutes later we snuck right back in and it seems all we missed was watching the guests eat their salads!
